My name is Andrea and my husband, Mark, and I have a small honey bee operation called Honey Bee Emporium. Or HBE Bees for short! He works hard for the honey! (and so do I)
the Beekeeper’s Wife™ is the name of my creative studio and shop- where I make and sell all the things honey bee!
Our new studio and shop are complete! I’m open to the public on Saturdays from Noon -4:30. I do offer longer hours for some holidays and will be open later in the summer.
Be sure and stop by to see what we are up to!
You can also see our honey bee operations for HBE Bees.
Mark introduced me to beekeeping in 2004 and things have never been the same. We raise honey bees in Boise, Idaho, where we are from and soon, here in Toledo, Oregon also. We live on the Central Oregon Coast in a little town just outside Newport. This has been a dream of ours for quite a few years and we are very grateful to have found our little piece of heaven here. It’s a beautiful and magical place full of wildlife, stunning scenery, great weather and the beach is just 7 miles away!
I started making soap in 2010 and it soon took over my life! I love making soap. Over the years I have developed my own recipes and am very proud of the soaps I make. All my ingredients are carefully and thoughtfully selected. My ingredients are palm free, paraben free, phthalate free and plant based. I buy my soaping oils and butters from a women owned company that offers ethically sourced non gmo ingredients! I make soap to nourish your skin. Add in the lovely essential and fragrance oils and you have a spa right in your own shower or bath!
I also create 100% Beeswax candles with Wood Wicks, Beeswax candles burn brighter, longer and cleaner than any other wax. 7-9 hours per ounce! Recently, I expanded and now offer fragrant luxury candles as well.
I invented the Bee-usable Beeswax Wraps and Bags for your food. Each one hand infused with our raw beeswax!
You will love the nourishing beeswax lip and body balms! Beeswax provides a protective barrier that does not clog pores.
In the last few years I have taken up felting soap with wool and needle felting artwork on them. If you have never tried a felted soap you should! They are clean, easy to hold onto and last up to 5 times longer than a naked bar! My designs are all freehand renditions inspired by the wildlife and surroundings here where I live.
I’m excited to open up my studio, the Beekeeper’s Wife, where I can create my products, showcase them and welcome the public to come and enjoy them too!
You can also find a selection of products at Driftwood Trading Company in Florence in Historic Old Town and at Presents of Mind in Portland. Be sure and stop in if you are in the area and check it out!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you find something you like here! If you are interested in custom or wholesale orders please send me a message.
